Alright, so I am at a loss as to how to get the dedicated server working so that it appears to the public. We think it might have something to do with our internet provider. So for the time being, the dedicated server will only be used for training. If anyone else would like to try to host a server for the clan, I would be very appreciative. In fact, following the example of several other clans, having a server for freeroam, deathmatch, and get to the chopper would probably make the clan look more appealing, along with my current server which, I guess, is just a private server people can join to hang out or train. If you would like to host a server, please let me know. There is a pretty good guide on how to do it here primalcarnageforums.com/showthread.php?1017-Server-admin-guide and I could have Balistik help you out if you needed it. I have a team speak server running, I just need to remember to turn it on as it is hosted on my crappy old laptop XD |

I wouldn't mind hosting a server for the our meet ups that can be seen publicly. I'll have to learn to do it and with the guides help, I can most likely be able to do it.  oh This reminded me to set up a live stream for our meet ups as well. |

Np:) I believe the streaming will work for our upcoming meetup, so maybe tomorrow I can try and set up a server for our clan.

That would be sweet. I definitely think a Death Match server to start would probably be the best. Definitely want the name “Pangea’s Box Clan Server DM” or something like that with the chat box description get get when you enter the server with…

Your server-hosting capabilities are very nice. I'm quite surprised that it's from Time Warner Cable; they aren't very nice on my end. Haha.
However, perhaps one day you all might want to consider a 24/7 dedicated server.

Those two are the only isp here in the area where I live. I may just buy those small computers that are for hosting servers, that way it'll be better for me to have it on rather than my whole PC. |

Yeah, that'd be a good idea. That way, you can have a server up 24/7. Though.... you might want to be wary that ISPs monitor the amount of traffic coming from your source. If they notice that you are taking up a lot of upload bandwidth in a month, they might send a letter asking about any kind of business-type activity that you are doing. Though, honestly, keeping up a dedicated gaming server shouldn't consume that much upload bandwidth; you should be fine. |

It would be cool to have a 24 hour server. But for now what I'd like to reach for is one of each server; TDM, GTTC, and freeroam. So if you're interested at all in hosting a server, War, let me know  |
